This year I have been appointed Principal of Rossmoyne Senior High School whilst Mrs L Bothams is on leave. My background in education has been one of a Principal for the past fifteen years. I have immediately found that Rossmoyne Senior High School is a busy and vibrant campus offering a vast range of subjects and opportunities. Our academic record is enviable and with two students receiving General Exhibitions in 2008 we move into the New Year with renewed optimism for further success.

Rossmoyne is a school that caters for students across the educational spectrum. Our sporting and cultural programs are comprehensive, and we have been rewarded with Special School status in Classical Music, Volleyball and Languages. These courses all offer scholarships and we have enrolments from across the state and even internationally. 

One of our great strengths is the diversity of the student population and the opportunity it offers to develop and enhance cross-cultural understandings. The school encourages and celebrates its multi-cultural profile and with an excellent English as a Second Language (ESL) division the students can be confident that every assistance is given to excel.

The school’s physical environment is a priority for Rossmoyne. Currently our facilities include a new modern science building and a Performing Arts Centre. The large gymnasium is air-conditioned and a full size swimming pool is on site. Recently we have just won a submission for Federal funding for a considerable increase in our technology capacity and this work will commence in the near future.

Rossmoyne Senior High School is a school with tradition. Throughout 2009 we will strive to build on our reputation of outstanding achievement. Our goal is to reach all students as individuals and to be able to provide them with a successful, positive and happy experience at the school.
