School Uniform
In Term 1, 2009, the school began phasing in a new school uniform, commencing with students in Years 8 and 11. Students in other year groups may continue to wear the older style uniform or purchase the new uniform if they prefer.
The uniform brochure details about the new uniform for both everyday wear and physical education.
The footwear requirements for all students remain unchanged; that is, footwear must not stand out from other parts of the uniform. Footwear may be enclosed low healed shoes, sturdy sports or flats. All footwear must be black or a neutral colour which tones in with the uniform. Bright or multi-coloured shoes must not be worn at school. No slip-ons are to be worn as these are dangerous. Black stockings can be worn with skirts, and socks need to tone with the uniform.
The Rossmoyne Senior High School’s uniform policy was developed by the School Council in accordance with Department of Education and Training policy and guidelines on dress standards for students in public schools. The wearing of school uniform is supported strongly by the Rossmoyne community and is a symbol of pride in the school. There is an expectation that students will comply with the dress requirements and that valuable school time will not need to be diverted to following up on breaches of school uniform policy.
The new uniform can be purchased or pre-ordered from the P&C Uniform Shop which is located in the school grounds.
