THE AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF THE YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
Applications due: Thursday 5 November 2009
The Australian Newspaper, Wooldridges and Nell Gray Manufacturing have offered to sponsor this scholarship which commemorates our success in being named the inaugural Australian School of the Year in 2001. The scholarship is open to all current (2009) Year 7 students who are living and will continue to live with their parents in our local intake area. To be considered for the scholarship, students will need to have demonstrated a high level of achievement across a number of learning areas in their primary school studies.
Applicants may be required to have an interview with the Principal and/or his nominees as part of the selection process. Applicants are advised to bring a portfolio representative of their best Year 7 work, their latest school report, NAPLAN report and acknowledgements of outstanding performance with them to such an interview. The winner of the scholarship will be announced in Term 4, 2009.
The winner of the Australian School of the Year Scholarship will receive:
- Payment of standard school contributions and charges for 2010
- $300 Voucher from Wooldridges
- A school uniform courtesy of Nell Gray Manufacturing
- An Australian School of the Year Scholarship certificate.
Application forms are due back to Rossmoyne Senior High School by
Thursday 5 November 2009.
Interviews are expected to be conducted on Friday 20 November 2009.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMICALLY ABLE
Scholarships for the Academically Able are now closed.
To be considered for the scholarships, students needed to have demonstrated a high level of achievement across a number of learning areas in their primary school studies.
Applicants wererequired to have an interview with the Principal as part of the selection process. Applicants were advised to bring a portfolio of their Year 7 work and acknowledgements of outstanding performance with them to such an interview.
