About our uniform
The school uniform and Uniform Policy is supported strongly by Rossmoyne Senior High School families and the wider community. Our uniform is a symbol of pride in the school, it features a tartan drawn from the school’s Scottish heritage, our emblem and motto have also been influenced by this history.
2020 is a Uniform Review Year
The Rossmoyne Senior High School uniform is reviewed every five years. After long consultation with students and staff, including consideration of the school’s history, culture, identity and brand, it was agreed that our current uniform ‘look’ represents our school well. Some small ‘refreshers’ have been proposed with with a specific focus on comfort and student preference. If the school and community elect to move forward with the refreshed designs, these will become available to order and purchase from January 2021. Existing designs will go on sale until sold out. Students will be allowed to wear the existing school uniform designs in 2021 and into the future until they are naturally phased out.
Community expectation and school policy
The school’s Uniform Policy was developed by the School Board in accordance with Department of Education policy and guidelines on dress standards for students in public schools. There is an expectation that students will comply with the dress requirements.
