Our Year 12 general Outdoor Ed students set off on their Seatrek expedition. Using their recreational skippers ticket and sailing knowledge they have been learning since term three last year, they voyaged themselves to Garden and Carnac Island.
The students camped overnight at Woodman Point and were studying weather systems as a part of their planning and were delighted to be created with the light easterly winds and sunny days. This expedition highlighted the development of leadership methods and environmental sustainability. The group was also lucky enough to be greeted by sea lions out for a swim and made many members of the Fremantle public jealous when they sailed into fishing boat harbour for some fish and chips.
