Our Specialist Volleyball Program successfully implemented a weekly Strength and Conditioning program. Thank you to Jonny at V Athletic and Aaron Boccardo from Empire Performance Centre for setting up the space and writing programs focused on injury prevention and enhanced performance.
With the additional P&C funding, we have added Force Plates and Timing Gates to track student progress with jump and sprint testing, giving them valuable feedback on their progress and technique. Thank you to Scott from VALD Performance for the assistance in getting this going and to the P&C for supporting our students. With over 120 students coming through each week, we are very optimistic this is the start of our students looking after their whole bodies as athletes. Fingers crossed for fewer overuse injuries!
