Entry pathways for students outside of the local area

Students living outside of the local intake area can complete their high schooling at RSHS if they apply and are successfully admitted into one of our Specialist Programs (Volleyball, Classical Music and Mathematics), or the Gifted and Talented Program (Languages).

Can local students apply for Specialist Programs?

For Specialist Mathematics, local intake students must apply through the same process as non-local students. Applications are accepted in Term One of the year prior to their Year 7 commencement at RSHS. Get the details.

To join the Specialist Classical Music or Specialist Volleyball Programs, local students try out as part of the regular local enrolment process.

How to enrol a local student

Students in Year 6 and above living within the local intake area can collect enrolment packages from Rossmoyne SHS Reception. Incoming Year 7 enrolment  forms are also made available to our eight Contributory Public Primary Schools in Term 2 each year.

Local Intake Area

The local intake area for this school contains all or part of the local intake areas of the following schools. Bateman, Brentwood, Bull Creek, Oberthur, Riverton, Shelley and Willetton, and the traditional catchment area of Rossmoyne Primary School.
