An Introduction to RSHS
The Rossmoyne SHS Student Experience
Students at Rossmoyne Senior High School enjoy a large range of study options and extracurricular activities. All of our students live in the local intake area, or are enrolled as part of a specialist or gifted and talented program. Learn more about entry to our school.
In Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, students study compulsory courses in English, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Languages, Mathematics, Science, The Arts and Technologies. Students combine their compulsory courses with their choice of electives including Art, Dance, Drama, Media, Music, Photography, Digital Technologies, Home Economics and Design & Technologies.
Year 10 students are enrolled in courses across eight learning areas from the Western Australian Curriculum Framework.
Students in Years 11 and 12 enrol in courses that contribute to their Western Australian Certificate of Education. A range of different pathways are offered in the school. Read the Year 11 Course Handbook for more information on Senior School Pathways.
School Tours for new families
Traditionally, school tours have included a short presentation by our Principal followed by a tour of the school led by students. In light of COVID-19 we have unfortunately been unable to welcome visitors to our school. We are hopeful that we will be able to recommence school tours in 2020, but this will be dependent on State Government regulations and health advice. In the meantime, please register your interest in attending a future tour.
