Rossmoyne Senior High School will be holding its inaugural ‘iCARE Week’ commencing Monday 19 November 2018. The idea is to engage student’s ‘school spirit’.
iCARE Week is five different activities over five days designed to bond students together
while having fun. Each day’s activity is designed around one of our iCARE values

Integrity – Crazy Hair Day
To kick off iCARE week, on Monday 19 November, we will be celebrating Integrity Day, encouraging moral values through a crazy hair day. Students and staff can come to school with their hair coloured, or have it sprayed/chalked at stalls during break one and homeroom. Meanwhile, a series of challenges occur at the amphitheatre. By donating money a teacher or student will participate in a crazy challenge – like shaving their head or getting rainbow streaks in their hair. We hope to encourage school pride and integrity through this fun and charitable event.

Connection – Bandanna Day, Teacher Dunk Tank
To facilitate student-teacher connection in a fun environment, we’re holding a teacher dunk tank. To raise money for charity, bring $2 along to try and dunk a teacher during both breaks in the amphitheatre! Bandannas will be on sale for $5, also in the amphitheatre, to raise money for kids with cancer.

High Aspirations – Guinness World Record attempt for greatest number of ‘T-Posing’
To celebrate, the school will be aiming high and trying to set an all new world record; the most amount of people t-posing in one space. We believe trying to set a world record is an accurate representation of High Aspirations, and is a great way to involve the whole school in a fun activity.

Respect – Cookie Gift Giving; Be Brave Crusade
The day allows students to send someone they respect, a message of gratitude, along with a tasty cookie! In weeks prior to RESPECT day, orders are being taken for the cookies, with order forms located in Student Central. On the day, cookies and messages will be delivered to the recipients in the morning. During Break 1, even more cookies will be available for sale in the Year 10 Quad, with a whiteboard that allows students to publicly address their respectful messages for each other. Respect Day’s cookie sales, allows for students to express their self-respect, respect for peers, and respect for their teachers. Orders and deliveries are just $2, and all proceedings go to charity.
In addition, this year on Respect Day, Rossmoyne is having our first ever “Be Brave Crusade”, allowing everyone to donate new Teddy Bears, Blankets or Backpacks with school supplies to help support teenagers and young adults who are homeless or disadvantaged. Donations are being received from 8.00am to 11.00am in front of the school, and at 11:15am, everyone is gathering for a community photo.
Spread the word, and let’s make a difference together!
