Our Rossmoyne community enjoys celebrating excellence. Whether that be on the sporting field, being active in our community or academic achievement, all our students have an opportunity to shine.

Students who represent the school or state are awarded house points and are celebrated in our term publication, The Quarterly. We also regularly update our socials with the many achievements of our students and staff.

Twice a year our formal school assemblies recognise the high aspiration and achievements of students.

At these assemblies we present the following awards;

iCARE Awards: awarded to those students who have embodied one of the school’s five key values Integrity, Connection, Aspiration, Respect and Excellence.

Learning Area Awards: awarded to the top performing student in each Learning Area.

Subject Awards: awarded to the top performing student in each subject.

Determining the Certificate Awards using GPAs

Year 7 to Year 10

Grade Point Average (GPA).  What does this mean?  The maximum GPA is 5. This represents a perfect number of A grades, whether that is 5 of 5, 8 of 8 or 11 of 11, as is the case for some Year 7 students. Students with a GPA of 5 will receive a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement.  The GPA cut off for Certificates of Excellence and High Achievement are outlined in the table below. The use of a GPA rewards students who have performed consistently across all subjects. A GPA of 4.88 for example represents a student who has achieved 7As and 1B of eight subjects or 8As and 1C of nine subjects.
