HEART OF ROBOTICS

In Year 8 Electronics and Robotics, our students are not just learning to code and wire circuits—they’re also building emotional intelligence. As they work through Grok and MyEdOnline tasks, they practise perseverance, manage frustration, and support each other through problem-solving challenges. It’s inspiring to see how teamwork, patience, and empathy play a key role—even in the world of tech! ~ Mr Collett
Kaia C, Year 8 from the Electronics and Robotics class said, ‘ I think the most challenging part of robotics is when I get something wrong and I don’t know what it is. To deal with this, I usually ask my friends to compare our answers and see what I did wrong. I have helped my friends when they got stuck, and in return, they helped me.
I’ve learned that asking a classmate for help can make a big difference, we can work through challenges together. I have also learnt that even if you get something wrong the first time, if you keep trying, you will eventually get it correct’.
