OKONOMIYAKI
Our Year 11 GAT Japanese class celebrated the completion of their Year 12 Japanese Second Language course by cooking a popular Japanese comfort food, okonomiyaki — a savoury pancake made with cabbage and a variety of toppings. The name okonomiyaki comes from okonomi (お好み), meaning “as you like,” and yaki (焼き), meaning “grilled.”
It was a fun and delicious way to mark the end of their studies.
