WORLD OF TRADE SKILLS

From cleaning and maintaining real tools to building sturdy brick pillars, they experienced what it’s like to work on a job site. They even put their maths skills to the test, using angles and measurements to construct wooden fences — plus they learned to handle impact drills like pros!

Working in pairs and teams, students built confidence, technical skills and plenty of teamwork along the way.

And in true worksite fashion, the day came with an unexpected twist… When the delivery truck bringing sand for the next stage couldn’t find parking and drove off, students saw first-hand how quickly plans can change in the trades. Instead of calling it quits, they adapted, refocused and kept going — an awesome display of resilience and real-world problem-solving.
