YEAR 12s TEACHING YEAR 7s MATHS

In Term 2, my Year 12 Community Service class joined Ms. Alvaro’s Year 7 maths class every Friday, and it’s been such a rewarding experience! It was a delight to be able to re-experience my Year 7 life alongside these Year 7s who are currently going through their early school life and offer help and guidance in class. Alistair, the Year 12 assisting my friend Xj and me, has been especially awesome—fun, energetic, and super helpful. The Year 12s are funny and the energy in the room helps keep us motivated so we don’t just sit here bored. This interaction has boosted our confidence in communicating with others, and we’ll definitely miss these moments!
