MATHS PEER MENTORS

Throughout the term, Ms Bozich’s Year 12 Certificate II in Community Services students partnered with Ms Alvaro’s Year 7 Mathematics class every Thursday as peer mentors.
The Year 12 students put their community service skills into practice by leading small-group activities, building their communication, teamwork and leadership skills while supporting the Year 7s to develop confidence in Mathematics.
Our Year 7 students loved the experience, sharing that the mentors made maths easier to understand, encouraged them to communicate with older students, and created a fun, supportive learning environment.
This fantastic collaboration not only strengthened the Rossmoyne Senior High School Capabilities but also created meaningful connections across year groups. Well done to all students involved on making this such a rewarding experience!
