Our Year 10 students participated in the Yalagan Career Taster event recently. Both the VETredi and Work and Life Skills classes were involved in this exciting experience, where they learned essential skills such as safely entering a confined space and using safety equipment. They even had the opportunity to work at height while harnessed! The students listened intently to a presentation about various career pathways in civil rail, mining, and construction, gaining valuable insights into future possibilities. We were incredibly proud of their engagement and responsibility—despite some nerves, many bravely attempted the hands-free exercise, relying on their harnesses for support. What an inspiring and educational day for our future leaders!
