BIBRA LAKE WETLANDS VISIT
Our Year 11 ATAR Biology students recently visited Bibra Lake Wetlands to investigate the health of this important local ecosystem through hands-on fieldwork.
Throughout the day, students assessed water quality, identified macroinvertebrates, conducted bushland transects, observed native bird species and examined the impact of human activity on the environment. They also explored the conservation strategies in place to protect and enhance the biodiversity of the wetlands.
Experiences like these allow students to apply their classroom learning in a real-world setting while developing a deeper understanding of ecosystems, biodiversity and the importance of environmental conservation.
