BRONZE MEDALLION

The Bronze Medallion assessment for our Year 11 General Outdoor Education took place in early Term 2. This was a full day incursion at school. Students completed their theory tests and CPR at 8:00am and then headed to the pool to be assessed by Miss Jackson on their practical skills and capabilities.
The Bronze medallion is a School Curriculum and Standards Authority Endorsed program which means that if a student is to achieve their Bronze Medallion, the qualification is recognised as a C grade for their WACE assessment in 2025. The qualification also provides exceptional skills and knowledge that ties into the water based practical contexts that will be delivered in year 12 Outdoor Education which includes Sailing, the Seatrek Expedition and Body Boarding.
Huge thank you to Miss Jackson for her time and professionalism. Students learnt a lot, showed resilience in the cold-ish pool and Miss Jackson helped them understand the importance of achieving a life-skill that they can continue to use throughout their life.
