BUILDING METALWORK SKILLS

Our Year 11 Materials Design and Technology (Metal) students are developing far more than practical workshop skills—they are building the work ethic, professionalism and independence that employers value.
Throughout their projects, students have demonstrated:
✅ Arriving prepared and on time
✅ Working safely and consistently using appropriate PPE
✅ Planning and organising tasks effectively
✅ Managing priorities to meet deadlines
✅ Collaborating and working as a team
✅ Supporting their peers when needed
✅ Showing initiative and solving problems independently
It is fantastic to see our students taking ownership of their learning, developing confidence in their abilities, and building the skills and behaviours that will serve them well in future workplaces and careers.
