CHAMPION COOKING

We had the fantastic opportunity to host Maxine Wylie, the President of the Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society Inc (CAHRS), for a special morning tea catered by our students.
Maxine praised Ms Beemster for her dedication to fostering student baking talent by entering their incredible creations into the annual Canning Show. Last year, we had a standout moment with Adam A, who wowed the judges with his international slice, earning him the prestigious First Prize!
But that’s not all! Adam’s slice was crowned the Champion Home Cooking Exhibit for ages 13-17 and also became the trophy winner among all the youth cooking champions! At the presentation evening, Adam hinted at pursuing a potential career in baking!
During morning tea, Maxine surprised Adam with the missing $100 Westfield Carousel voucher that went with his trophy! Congratulations to Adam and a huge thank you to Maxine for her inspiring words! Here’s to many more baking adventures ahead.
