FESTIVAL OF PERTH DRAMA EXCURSION
Years 9 and Year 10 Drama raced off from school last Friday morning, full of excitement for the special school performance of the festival show Big Name No Blankets at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco.
This production was performed by the Narrm – Melbourne-based First Nations theatre company, the Ilbejirri Theatre Company. Students learned the epic story of the Warrumpi band, creators of many songs, including Waru, My Island Home and Blackfella Whitefella. The play was energetic, lively, and inspiring, with fantastic music from the band and amazing dancing by lead actor Taj Pigram.
