HAVE SUM FUN
The annual Have Sum Fun team problem solving competition is a long-standing fixture on the Rossy Maths Honours and Extension calendar. Over two Friday evenings, teams of 6 students battle it out with other schools over four rounds for the glory of being the top HSF team. On Friday 7th March, our Senior teams crossed the river to the stately venue of Trinity College and secured a third-place finish. But the best was to come, with the Junior and Intermediate teams taking their time to shine on Friday 14th March. This just happened to be the International Day of Mathematics, also known as Pi Day – a most auspicious day for a maths competition!
The Junior teams made for the coast and did us proud with a second and third at Fremantle College. Rossmoyne was pleased to host the Intermediate competition in the new library, a perfect venue for such an event, earning another third place.
Thank you to all competitors for being outstanding representatives of Rossmoyne SHS. We will continue to pursue our ultimate goal of beating the All Saints teams!
