NAIDOC WEEK LUNCHEON

Miss Hayes’ Certificate II Hospitality students were proud to cater for and serve at RSHS’s NAIDOC Week lunch, welcoming Indigenous students, their families and invited guests. Using Australian bush foods and native spices, students prepared and presented a menu that celebrated culture while providing professional hospitality service. Through this experience, they developed the RSHS’s Capability of Ethical and Cultural Understanding by recognising and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, reflecting on intercultural experiences, and creating a welcoming and inclusive event for our school community. It was wonderful to see our students use their hospitality skills to connect people through food while celebrating the rich cultures and traditions of Australia’s First Nations peoples.
