ON TOUR IN BERLIN

During the holidays, the incredible Germany Modern History Tour took place. Year 11 Student Beauty Z provided a short snippet of their adventures.
Boarding a plane full of unfamiliar faces was the adventure we needed! Despite the daunting 17-hour flight, the excitement took over, especially after a refreshing stop at Doha Airport.
Once we landed, we were immersed in Vienna’s rich history, marvelling at iconic sights like St. Stephen’s Cathedral and enjoying our first taste of authentic schnitzel. Our journey continued with visits to Schönbrunn Palace and a train ride to Salzburg, where we explored Sound of Music locations and Mozart’s birthplace. Meeting our German host families was heartwarming, as we shared traditional meals and learned about their lives and culture.
Our thrilling adventures in the Alps included sledding, hiking, and sharing cozy moments in a mountain hut. Finally, our emotional farewell led us to Berlin, where we delved into unforgettable historical sites like the Berlin Wall and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. We returned home with cherished memories and lifelong friendships forged during this incredible journey.
