REACHING NEW HEIGHTS
Year 9 Outdoor Education students had the opportunity to apply the roping and safety climbing skills they have been learning within their Application of Roping & Knots program.
Student refined their knot and rope tying skills through shelter and raft building. This then progressed into abseiling and belaying activities around the school with the pinnacle being a trip to Mountain and Statham’s Quarry to climb and abseil the challenging terrains.
The courage, collaboration, and roping skills the students demonstrated was commendable and resulted in many enjoyable memories. This was a fantastic environment for the students to continue their development of capabilities such as resilience, teamwork and problem solving.
