ROSSY MATH MASTERS DOMINATE AMC
This year, 273 students from Rossmoyne SHS enthusiastically participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). The topics covered encompass fundamental arithmetic, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics, probability, and problem-solving.
Chloe J. (Year 10) was awarded the prestigious Best in School and Prize Certificate for achieving the highest overall score in the school. It’s noteworthy that the Prize award is granted to no more than one student for every 300 students within a Western Australia and year group.
Here are some outstanding stats achieved by our students in the AMC:
20 students earned the esteemed title of High Distinction in the Junior and division, signifying their exceptional performance, placing them among the top 3%* of participants.
In the Senior division, Archie K. achieved High Distinction, ranking him within the top 5% of participants.
A remarkable 95 students received Distinction, showcasing their excellence, and placing them in the top 20%.
106 (up from 45) students attained Credit, demonstrating their strong mathematical aptitude, and ranking in the top 55%.
This remarkable achievement is an indication of the dedication and talent of Rossmoyne SHS students in the field of mathematics.
