SCENARIO WRITING CHAMPIONS

Future Problem Solving is a multi-faceted competition held nationally in Australia and internationally in the USA. Rossmoyne Senior High School Year 11 students Grace G, Bianca D and Promiti S took part in the national finals of Scenario Writing. Scenario writing involves writing a futuristic story set at least twenty years in the future based on a selection of topics. This year, the topics included Urbanisation, Tourism, Autonomous Vehicles and Currency. Students research these issues and extrapolate current technological trends in a believable way to incorporate into their scenario.
Grace won the Senior Division of this competition and is the National Champion for Scenario Writing. Promiti came third, and Bianca was in the top 5% to be invited to the national finals in Melbourne. Grace now has the option to compete at the University of Indiana in the international competition for FPS in 2025.
Well done – this is an amazing achievement.
