YEAR 9 LIGHTNIGH CARNIVAL

Our Year 9 students showcased their grit and determination at the recent Lightning Carnival! Despite the rainy weather, our teams demonstrated great sportsmanship and effort throughout the day.
🏀 The Boys A Grade team went undefeated and secured the division title in a thrilling final against Willetton SHS, showcasing incredible teamwork and skill. The Boys B Grade team also performed admirably, finishing first in their pool and narrowly missing out on the win in a close final against Atwell SHS, earning the runners-up spot. The Girls A Grade team displayed remarkable resilience and spirit, finishing 2nd overall with a mix of wins and losses, thanks to the fantastic leadership of their Year 10 coach, Rowena.
⚽️The Boys A Grade team finished 3rd overall, accumulating 8 points from 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. They were unfortunate not to take the title, as a last-minute equaliser in their final game proved costly. The Boys B Grade team also finished 3rd overall, earning 7 points with 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. A standout moment was their strong 4–0 victory against Melville, showcasing their offensive prowess and teamwork throughout the season. The girls showed amazing enthusiasm to play through the rain and take out the Division B flag.
🏉Our AFL team fought hard in challenging conditions and ended the day with one solid win, highlighting their teamwork and determination.
A huge thank you to our Year 10 students who coached and umpired; your support made a significant difference! Congratulations to all our students for a fantastic day filled with school spirit and sportsmanship! 🎉👏
